Straw-yellow in color with hints of green. It has a full, fruity aroma that is very long-lasting, and a dry, mellow taste that is particularly well balanced for such a full-bodied wine. It is a delicious accompaniment to fish, seasonal pasta dishes or chicken and a perfect glass of wine for a hot summer’s day or served as an aperitif.

An initial impression of rich, buttery cream quickly turns to aromas of honey and lightly toasted almonds, followed quickly by tropical aromas of pineapple, citrusy lemon and Crème Brûlée. The wine is refreshing on the palate, with a minerality that is both bright and clean, seductively drawing you into a vibrant tartness and lemon zest that is absolutely, positively Bonterra Chardonnay, vintage after vintage

This is a wine truly crafted in the vineyard. Intense aromas of grapefruit, kiwi and freshly cut grass are captured in every glass. The oft-found muskiness of Sauvignon Blanc is offset by the concentrated tropical aromas and bright minerality in the wine. There’s no mistaking the New World style. As you drink, an integrated, almost boastful acidity gives the wine a fresh, vibrant feel. Guava and melon linger on the palate. Sterling Vineyards Made with Organic Grapes is the most recent addition to the Sterling Vineyards collection. These wines reflect their larger commitment to environmentally friendly wine production, as well as a belief that what is best for the earth is also best for wine quality. The fruit comes from small family-owned and operated organic vineyards in Mendocino County, and the phrase "Made with Organic Grapes"

This Chardonnay shows a clear pale gold with aromas of green apple and stone fruit, with subtle notes of vanilla and baking spices. Flavors of Pippin apple, white peach, and nectarine are complemented by toasty, spicy notes from the judicious use of oak. A lighter style of Chardonnay that is very food friendly, this will pair well with various cheeses, grilled fish, chicken, quiche and pasta with clam sauce.

Our blend for the vintage layers Merlot with Zinfandel and touchs of Syrah and Petite bringing complexity and a slight smoked herb aroma to the wine. The heritage of Bordeaux is evident here. Aromas of black plums and dark cherries alongside cranberry, and cola spice add to the somewhat old world style. Medium-full, even a bit creamy in the mouth, the evident ripeness of the fruit is somewhat restrained, leading to an unexpected elegant style. Fans of our 2003 Merlot will find a kinship with this wine.

In our third US release, balance is the key, with a wine redolent of rich aromas of red raspberry and brambly fruit with hints of mountain blueberry, and a touch of white pepper and cedar spice. Powerful aromas of freshly sliced harvest peach, hints of honeysuckle and an exotic note of jasmine dominate in the glass. Peaches and cream remain a sensory signature of this wine, a favorite descriptor for me. Complex fruit flavors of apricot and peach are overlaid with notes of oak vanilla. The wine is crisp, yet creamy, a grand alternative to everyday whites. There is balance and elegance. For many, this is a favorite Bonterra offering and it’s easy to see why. This vintage won’t disappoint.
