This supple and full-bodied vintage begins with brambleberries and raspberry jam. Summertime ripeness and richness integrate with hints of black pepper and a touch of dark chocolate. The finish of toasty oak, tobacco and spicy cloves creates a wine of both structure and sumptuousness.

Dark in color, the wine is displays notes of black cherry, raspberry, rhubarb, violets and cracked white pepper spice in the bouquet. Full-bodied, the wine reveals dense and juicy dark fruits in the mouth, as supple tannins melt into a lingering finish. Versatile as far as food compliments go, this Zinfandel pairs well with rotisserie chicken, baby back ribs or hearty pasta like lasagna Bolognese.

All Spice & cloves, Bay leaf & holiday spices, raspberry tart, cherry cola, the wine has good balance with firm tannins, is complete with a long lingering flavors & finish showing good European style and drink-ability.

The 2006 Old Vine Zinfandel was sourced from an exceptional vineyard in California’s Dry Creek. The wine is well structured with a unique resinous pepper-spice. The ripe, juicy character of red raspberry marries nicely with the more supple dark plum and cherry flavors.

A vibrant, sweet bouquet of raspberry jam, molasses and cinnamon toast evoke the senses of carefree youthful nights. Excellent oak integration provides silken tannins and spice to pair with Lodi’s unrestricted wild berry fruit.
